Valve manufacturers, belonging to Dnepropetrovsk holding “Promarmatura”, during many decades have been supplying its products to the consumers of chemical, oil and chemical, mining and metallurgical, oil processing industry branches.

Close cooperation with leading specialists of the clients` companies and designing organizations, studying of problem places of the existent pipe-line valves assortment that can be found on the market, permanent research of the market prompted to the company a decision to separate production of pipe-line valves for chemically active mediums to be an independent direction.

About the possibly of GOR technology

Today technology of gas-oxygen refining — is the most advanced method of obtaining the widest range of high quality steel grades. Metallurgical complex JSC“Armaprom” works on technology patent for which is taken out by the scientists from National Mining academy of Ukraine, this allows to realize in practice unique engineering solutions and know-how of scientists-metallurgist.

Complex produces castings for valve bodies and equipment (with total weight up to 3000kg), ingots for forging or rolling (with total weight up to 4550kg) from more than 90 steel grades.

There can be distinguished three main directions in production

• Precision steel grades. Technology GOR allows to obtain steel grades with a specially precise chemical composition, which has the primary importance for reaching specified mechanical and chemical properties of materials from which the products are made;
• Economically-alloyed steels: 03Х18Н3АГ5Л; 03Х24Н6АМ3; 05Х18АН5ФЛ. This group of materials makes decent alternative for traditional alloyed steels. Substantial decreasing of costs without loss of corrosion resistance is reached due to extremely low content of carbon in steel and minimization of content of expensive alloying elements. Optimization of casting process gives additional lowering of costs for such steel grades. As a result — implementation of economically alloyed steel grades is profitable for the consumers of traditional kinds of stainless steels.
• Special steels are solving the tasks for pipe-line valves and equipment to work in specially aggressive mediums (nitric, sulphuric, hydrochloric and chromic acids, chloric mediums, hydrogen sulphide, carbon dioxide and other mediums with concentration of active substances up to 95%), and also under the conditions of low or high temperatures.
• 02Х25Н22АМ2; 03Х17Н14М3 — steels of carbamide class. They were used for valves bodies, produced for “Odessa port plant” during realization of the program of import replacement in cooperation with JSC “NIIK” (Scientific-research and design institute of carbamide and products of organic synthesis, city Dzerzhinsk). For JSC “Kuibyshevazot” globe valves, check valves and ball valves were produced and delivered. Among constant consumers of our products are JSC”Cherepovetskiy azot”, JSC”Salavatnefteorgsintez”.
• ASTM A350LF2; 15ГСАТЮ-ГР — cold-resistant, corrosion-resistant steels, mastered specially for the projects of oil field “Prirazlomnaya” on the shelf of Barents Sea and construction of pipe-line “East Siberia — Pacific Ocean”, the destination point of which will be the sea oil trans-shipping complex on the coast of Japanese sea. Valves and equipment made of these steels can work under the conditions of low temperatures and under impact of ocean water.
• 06ХН28МДТ. During a number of years valves made of steel 06ХН28НДТ are successfully used for the conditions of sulphuric acid production of “Navoyskiy mining and steel works”. For modernization of sulphuric acid workshop 2 on JSC“Gomel chemical plant” in 2007 gate valves 31нж38нж were produced from this steel.
• 20ГЛ — cold-resistant steel. Swing check valves class ANSI 600 from steel 20ГЛ are in production for ammonia line Tolyatti-Odessa.

JSC Armaprom — is the only enterprise of machine-building complex on the territory of CIS, which is able to produce goods from such steel grades. This allows to produce valves and equipment comparable in quality with the goods of KITZ, BOHLER. As the practice shows, this gives to national consumers a real possibility for import replacement of expensive products.

Steels with such properties become the material for creation of new generation of pipe-line valves — which would have much longer life and the widest range of application. Its implementation makes guarantee period of exploitation of the products 2,5-3 times longer.
